The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

It highlights the importance of a humble and teachable heart that recognizes the need for divine guidance and instruction in the pursuit of knowledge and understanding.
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father, we come before you acknowledging your profound truth. We understand that the fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge and wisdom. Grant us, O Lord, the grace to cultivate a heart of reverence and awe for you.
As we embark on the journey of seeking knowledge and understanding, may our hearts be attuned to the wisdom that comes from above. Help us to embrace instruction and correction, recognizing that true wisdom begins with a humble acknowledgment of your sovereignty and authority in our lives.
Lord, we pray for discernment to distinguish between the path of wisdom and the way of foolishness. Protect us from the pitfalls of pride and self-reliance that may lead us away from the fear of the Lord. May our pursuit of knowledge be guided by a sincere desire to know you more deeply and to align our lives with your purposes.
We thank you, Lord, for being the source of all wisdom and understanding. May the fear of the Lord be a guiding principle in our lives, shaping our decisions, actions, and attitudes. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
